There's a lot of confusion about what is your core and what exercises stregnthen the core. Your core isn't your six-pack. It's the transverse abdominis, much deeper. Core exercises and six-pack workouts are two different ballgames.

Core moves? They're like back pain bodyguards. But those six-pack crunches? They might throw your back out of whack, causing bulging discs, degenerative disc disease and discomfort.
