Hip Pain is Frustrating!
If you’ve been dealing with one or more hip issues, you know how frustrating it can be. Maybe it’s a labral tear, arthritis, hip flexor pain or piriformis syndrome. Maybe you have chronic stiffness and tightness with no specific diagnosis.
No matter what your diagnosis or how it’s showing up, despite all of your hard work in physical therapy, injections, chiropractor and acupuncture visits and following the many, many corrective hip exercises from health professionals and YouTube, the pain and frustration just won’t go away completely.
This impact is huge - whether you walk, run, dance, practice pilates or yoga - you can’t move your body in the way that brings you joy!
You may also be wondering if that knee, back or SI joint issue, may be related to your hip. (It is almost always.)
You aren’t one to give up because you know deep down there is another way.
A lot of people believe that the area in pain is the problem.
Those folks aren’t wrong . . . but in order to be relieved of pain we MUST look deeper. The hips are connected to our feet, knees, spine, neck and even our heads.
But what is missing is that while the hips are what is hurting . . .
. . . The root cause of our hip pain is most likely due to an imbalance in the hip joint and how that hip joint is connected to and relating to other areas of the body. That is a biomechanical problem.
Take a look at the image of the imbalance in the hips.
This means if this imbalance and communication with these areas are not mechanically balanced, you will be pulled back into the same pain pattern as before. And, yes, this is why surgery doesn’t always fix the problem in the hip joint.
This is really good news!
Because it means that when you fix the mechanics of the hips, pelvis and spine . . .
. . . . and then learn which movement patterns are causing this issue and learn how to move in a way that heals rather than hurts . . .
So much can change!!!
I’ve been there!
In 2009, I was at work and suddenly the dull pain I’d learned to live suddenly intensified and brought me to my knees.
Later, I was cooking dinner and dancing to my fave song. BAM! A shooting pain consumed my body. It was excruciating. I started crying and realized I had to schedule an appointment immediately.
Turns out I had torn the cartilage in my hip. I had osteoarthritis. And SI (sacroiliac) joint dysfunction. And scoliosis.
I had to quit doing most of the things that brought me joy. No more hiking or going to the gym or dancing.
But I refused to give up. I craved movement that brought relief and sought out experts who helped me understand physiology, body mechanics, and energetics.
Gradually, I solved the mystery of my pain.
An injury from when I was 7 had created a lifelong cascade of injuries – and the doctors never caught it.
With my background and education in biomechanics, physiology, Chinese medicine principles and movement, I knew there was something else that could fix these issues…something I wasn’t hearing from the medical team.
Necessity is the mother of invention, so I invented a system that eliminated a lifetime of pain in just 6 months. I now teach this system and over the last 13 years thousands of women have integrated it into their lives and overcome their pain.

WEEK 1
Discover pain patterns and muscles you never knew you had that have been sleepy. This will help you see where the imbalances are. You are learning unique exercises, using muscles you might have not used before, so the question may come up, “Am I doing it right?” And this is common, and the answer is yes, you are. This is the figuring it out week and we are here to let you know and support with your questions.
WEEK 4
You learn the balance your joints need - the balance of strength and relaxation, the areas where more strength supports you and the areas where more relaxation benefits you. You understand how to create this balance. And you begin to see how this balance equals relief and functionality in your all types of movement.
THE HIP CLINIC
WEEK 2
You Notice which kinds of exercises are most soothing, which are most beneficial to build your strength and support your transformation. Your body is understanding of the unique exercises and you begin to see higher functionality in your movement.
WEEK 5
You are realizing the power of waking up your smaller glutes and the communication between your hips and low back. You realize the daily tasks are much easier with your new habits and corrective strength. You are more aware of which exercises are your “money exercises” that make the most difference and you realize how and how often to incorporate them into your practice and your life.
WEEK 3
You notice more strength and confidence and mobility. You understand how to have your muscles move your joints, and not your joints pushing your muscles during movement. Walking, standing, sitting and posture have shifted and you start to have different conversations with yourself about being pain free and the possibilities ahead. You have more trust and confidence in your body.
WEEK 6
You sense a new lease on life. You have relief from hip pain. You are learning how to attend yoga, pilates, go to the gym, go for a run without pain. You know which exercises to do before your activities and which ones to do after to give yourself the level of care you need to support doing the things you love most. You learn those small extra cues that will keep you safe and keep you from reinjuring yourself while doing favorite activities.
